Gritt
is a progressive post metal band based out of San Rafael, California. Vocalist
Christos Desalernos, guitarist Jeff Buletti, bassist Jason Canchola, DJ Marty
Boe, and drummer Jason Falconer are determined to share their sonic journey
within the local scene and beyond. Gritt’s main focus is writing and performing
songs that range in style from hard core to pop. Their hooks are catchy as
well as haunting. Their energy on stage is unparalleled and it’s obvious this
band believes in what they do. Gritt has been perfecting their craft for the
past three years and working on their much anticipated debut album for the
past year. The self titled 7 track CD is due for release July of 2004. It
is self-produced; self engineered, and recorded in their own studio at The
San Rafael Bay Street Studios. Leading manufactures in the music industry
supports Gritt. Allen & Heath, Shure, Audix, Tama, Zildjian, JBL, Samson,
PreSonus, Ampeg, Blue, DBX, and Furman Sound. Gritt has played shows through
out Northern California and as far as Reno. Local magazines, including Section
M, have written up on Gritt’s strong ability to pack venues with many faithful
fans as well as new faces at each show. Gritt is planning a West Coast tour
due to hit a venue near you this summer.
